Laying Out The Blueprint
Acquest designers are a group of creative problem solvers dedicated to a hands-on approach with a passion for details accompanied by environmental sensitivity.

Through traditional construction tactics and transformative technologies, we find sustainable solutions to immediate and long-term concerns of building maintenance and rehabilitation. Our commitment to eco-friendly practices ensures that every project not only meets the highest standards of quality but also promotes the well-being of our planet.

How It Works

1. Our team works closely with clients to investigate each and every one of their needs.
2. We develop strategic, economically responsible recommendations for better efficiency and an attractive work environment.
3. Implement the design and construction in an open, transparent line of communication.
4. Design doesn’t stop with the completion of the plans. Our team makes frequent site visits to guarantee construction is as expected.
5. Finally, our design team does a thorough review of the project upon completion to ensure the clients expectations are met.
LEED Certified Projects

Based on formal review of project documentation by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), the below projects by Acquest Development have achieved LEED Status.

NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction

College Park, Maryland

Designed by the global architectural firm, HOK. Sunshades were incorporated into the design on the south side of the building to optimize energy performance. Two-thirds of the roof surface is “green roof” covered with low growing plants for better insulation and protection. Rainwater bioretention areas and a storm water cistern collect water for irrigation, and a four-story rainwater waterfall efficiently drains the non-green portion of the roof.

NOAA employees at the center have the resources of a contemporary building designed to deliver a wide variety of forecasting services and support cutting-edge integrated earth systems research.

Environmental Protection Agency — New England Regional Laboratory

Chelmsford, Massachusetts

The EPA’s New England Regional Laboratory (NERL) has been an industry leader in its construction Waste Management program since its completion in 2001. From conception, the project was charged to, “make use of the best commercially-available materials and technologies to minimize consumption of energy and resources and maximize use of natural, recycled and non-toxic materials.” The facility also makes use of 100% green power through solar power for lighting and generation and purchase of wind power for all other electricity needs.
